Paid Youth Fellowship in New York City

The Labor of Change Youth Fellowship is a summer-long intensive paid program for New York City high school students to engage with local economic justice institutions.

The application is currently closed. Please check back in March 2025 for the application.

    • Culminate in actionable policy recommendations and presentations to public service stakeholders.

    • Publish pieces in open-collection synthesizing the strategies used by local institutions including labor organizations, think tanks, legal services, and more.  

    • Understanding strategies for coalition-building, policy writing, advocacy, and other essential skills is crucial for successful initiatives.

    • Pair students with mentors in governance, tech, law, and policy fields.

    • 8-week-long training and community building and connecting students with policymakers, advocacy organizations, social entrepreneurs, and civic leaders.
